I’m constantly receiving the message that no Windows Service is running. I’m on Win11 25h2, I’ve tried running as Admin, power cycle off, reinstall and when I check service.msc there is no such service running or in there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It’s a bug related to a version check within the application. It’s resolved in the next update, rolling out soon. You can also get the fix now by enrolling in Preview Updates (in settings).
Hi there, thanks for replying. This is happening on the latest beta also. I’m not sure if the version below is the one you mean, but I did opt into the program and it’s still doing the same. I also have an issue where it won’t autoload with Windows but I got around this by creating by using Task Scheduler.
Apologies as I had it mixed around, it’ll be resolved in the .52 beta which should be rolling out soon. Sorry for my confusion. In the meantime though, as long as you’re not seeing any other behavior it can safely be ignored.
As for the “won’t start automatically”, there’s this guide but it ends with recommended using a Task Scheduler like you’ve setup as a final workaround.
It’s currently on .55 beta and the issue still exists. I’ve tried to restart and the various other things tried above but no avail. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
The recent beta fixed this issue for a lot of users, so it’s helpful to know it’s still happening on your end even with the latest version.
At this point, I’d recommend submitting a bug report by clicking the bug icon in the top-right corner of the app. That will send us your logs so we can take a closer look at what’s going on.
