TUF Z790 motherboard (small) issue

Hello!

First of all, thank you for the great work and effort put into this project/application!

I just want to report one small issue with my TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI D4 motherboard: It has two RGB lights and only the upper one is detected. When the machine boots up, both LEDs light up and when SIgnalRGB ‘kicks in’ on Windows startup, the lower one switches off.

Hey!!

Maybe that specific model may differ a bit and possibly devs can deal with that promptly, can you upload a SignalRGB log file (located in %userprofile%\Documents\WhirlwindFX\Logs) that’s at least 5KB? The only personal information in the logfile is your windows username if you are worried.

It says new users cannot upload attachments. :stuck_out_tongue:

Tell me which part of the log is required for the investigation, so I copy-paste it here.

Oh snap, still not used to forums sorry.

Yeah the information needed should look something like:

That probably would help devs add some override for yours

That’s the stuff, I linked this to lead device dev so he can take a look when he’s on his shift (US timezone, I forget which one)

Hey, sorry it took a bit.
Can you pls download this file, place it in %userprofile%\Documents\WhirlwindFX\Pluginsand restart SignalRGB?

Pls lmk if that fixed your missing mobo onboard LED.

It works like a dream! Thank you very much for the support!

I’m glad it worked :+1:

I was having a similar issue with my Asus Prime X570-P motherboard since the v2.2.29 update of signalRGB. The 12v header would be turned off once signalRGB loads. It works fine if I load up v2.2.28. The file posted by vermis worked for me too. If you’d like any further info let me know.

Wait, same 12v header neither tom nor I could figure out in Discord?

I’ll mark that as solved then bcs these changes will be in 2.2.30 :+1:

It was both 12v headers. Everything else worked fine. After using the plugin you posted the two headers then appeared on the motherboard device settings.

I’m sorry, I may be confusing you with user Tharney#9264 in Discord who has the exact same motherboard and we were discussing that issue in Discord yesterday as well

No, that wasn’t me! I am on the discord but with the same username as here. Sounds like that plug in might help Tharney too?
