TUF gaming K1 keyboard error

hi I keep getting this error on my Keyboard only and RGB does seem to have any control over the lighting

Error: device.write(): HID handle is invalid, confirm that the protocol type selected is HID.

Render():37

have tried running in admin and update all drivers and i am not running Armoury Crate, do i need too?

any help would be greatly appreciated
