Singla RGB Breaks mute/unmute on my corsair wireless headset

So since I started using SignalRGB I noticed my headset mute button no longer works. I thought this may be because icue is gone, but if I close signalrgb then my mute button works, if I open it it stops. Why does SignalRGB have anything to do with my audio at all? The only way to use it and the headset is disable the headset in SignalRGB, but I want to control the RGB, I just don’t want it to mess with the mute button. I need to mute sometimes to cough or whatever.

The external buttons for that device are not supported in the plugin that SignalRGB uses to control the headset. You can submit a feature request by clicking the bug icon in the upper right corner.

Alternatively, you can disable the headset in SRGB and use the native software for the headset instead. Only one piece of software can communicate with it, and the Corsair software will have the necessary stuff to support the extra buttons like mute/unmute.

I find this hard to understand because the headset works perfectly find in windows with no SignalRGB and without any corsair software. Why does SignalRBG affect my sound or buttons at all? It is an RGB controller… Any explanation would be appreciated, because it just doesn’t add up that changing light color affects a button that is not even lit…

It’s due to the plugin, the plugin for the headset that SignalRGB uses when communicating and controlling the device has nothing in it for managing those buttons.
