After updating to SignalRPG version 2.4.22+206fdd37, the software consistently freezes when switching inputs using a KVM switch. This issue did not occur in previous versions of the software, and I’m unsure what changes in this version could be causing it. The application must be restarted to regain functionality after switching back. Please investigate if there’s any change in handling input switching or focus that could be related to this behavior.
I’m using an ugreen switch input and can confirm that this problem also occur to me. I’m also on the same program version as you are
Just ordered a ugreen switch to test with. Could you both elaborate on what you have connected to it?
FWIW, there was no changes to USB enumeration in 2.4.22
This is the KVM switch I am using:
Here is my setup with the SignalRPG:
I am switching between that box and a laptop. It only takes like 2 seconds before Signal freezes after the switch. It happens everytime too.
Hope that is what you were looking for. Thanks!
I’m using this switcher: https://www.ugreen.com/products/ugreen-usb-3-0-4-port-switch
In it, it is connected my G915TKL (wireless receiver) and a wired Razer DeathAdder Elite. I’m switching between my gaming PC (wich has SignalRGB installed) and my company laptop. Immediately after I press the button to switch, both keyboard and the mouse RGB turns off. My PC ARGB fans (using a A520M DS3H and a Risemode ARGB controller) keeps the lights on the same configuration.
I’ve enrolled on the beta program and updated to version 2.4.24-beta+d5f9cef9. On this version, when I switch back to my PC, SignalRGB is crashed and after some seconds (without closing Signal on task manager and starting again) both of them RGB lights turns on but using their default configurations (not what I choosed on Signal).
Using V 2.4.22+206fdd37 their lights never turned on until a manual restart on Signal, and IIRC, my mobo fans lights were turned off
I can post some logs if you want, provided you can link me some tutorial on how to get them and some scenarios you want me to test.
Yeah, a log file may help. You can open the log directory by visiting this link: https://go.signalrgb.com/app/view/logs
If you could post a log file after the app locks up or crashes, that would be ideal. In the case of a crash, the app will restart and mark the previous log as old, so ideally, post the newest and the first old one.
I have that same model in the mail so when I get it I’ll see if I can reproduce this. It may take a bit depending on how intensive the fix is.

Same problem here, i have the same switch as kiiha (https://www.ugreen.com/products/ugreen-usb-3-0-4-port-switch), only with a mouse (Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT) and a keyboard (Logitech MX Keys S) connected. Every time i use the switch the SignalRgb stop responding.
FYI, I too am having an issue where SignalRGB stops responding. I haven’t narrowed it down yet though. I thought it might be switch related, as I use a startech SV231DPDDUA but I can switch several times without it locking up. And sometimes it’ll lock up on it’s own. I have to kill the process and restart SignalRGB to get it working properly again. I first noticed the issue because I have my lights set to turn off after 30 minutes of inactivity. They’ve started staying on, and that’s when I see SignalRGB is locked up.
Found and resolved an issue where shutting down multiple devices simultaneously could deadlock SignalRGB. I’ll release it in the next beta (2.4.26-Beta) later this week.
