Signalrgb wont detect ASROCK B450 Led Controller and argb fans

I have a Asrock B450 Steel legend mobo and 4 argb connected to it through a hub. But the onboard rgb as well as the argb fans arent showing up in signalrgb. I have the latest bios, read somewhere it was a bios thing, but it didnt get fixed after updating to the latest bios.

I’ve got the same here. Is there already somebody who got it fixed?

Same here, and PolyChrome was working fine before I uninstalled it to install SignalRGB. On their list of compatible boards, under ASRock all it states is ā€˜USB controlledā€ whatever in hell that means. I’ve searched far n wide and found no useful info, so I suspect our boards are not supported. Only option is to purchase a dedicated USB based LED controller.

There’s 2 methods of RGB control. SMBUS/USB. Most of the b450/b550 out there use SMBUS. B550 was when things began to move to USB. Also, its just presets which signal is incompatible with, that is the reason for ā€œUSB controlledā€

Presets are changing the effect stored in onboard memory and writing to it which signal cant do. Signal updates effects temporarily repeatedly. imagine writing to a write limited disk repeatedly until its dead. That would be what would happen if signal attempted to support those boards.

Excellent response….. thank you! I always ā€˜assumed’ aRGB was aRGB… a ā€˜standard’. That said, I wonder if PolyChrome has any long-term detrimental effects on the system? (I uninstalled Signal/reinstalled PolyChrome, and it’s working again)
