SignalRGB 2.5.74, Win11, ASUS Aura board, Lian Li gear, admin account. “Service Start Required” → SERVICE_NOT_RUNNING. SignalRgb.Service stays Stopped; starting it manually gives no error at all. Ruled out: admin rights, Defender (history empty, folder excluded), clean reinstall, Memory Integrity off, Armoury Crate/AURA/L-Connect services disabled. This PC ran the L-Connect 3 OpenRGB beta — could that have left a driver or SMBus claim blocking the service? Any service-side log I can check?
Try a full power cycle if you haven’t already. Then check Windows Event Viewer → Windows Logs → System, filter for SignalRGB, and look for Event IDs 7000, 7031, or 7034. That’ll show why the service is crashing.
Also open %LOCALAPPDATA%\WhirlwindFX\SignalRgb\service\ and confirm both SignalRgbService.exe and vcruntime140.dll are present.
Finally, fully uninstall OpenRGB/L-Connect. It can leave a WinRing0 driver that may conflict.
