I’ve been setting up SignalRGB with the Screen Ambience effect to match my entire room with what I’m seeing on my monitor.
Since I have a ceiling containing 40 meters of RGB strips covered with cotton, the effect of being inside a game, color-wise, is absolutely amazing. But here comes my request:
The color changes seem to be way too extreme and abrupt.
Comparing it with the Hue Sync function by Philips, the interpolation speed option makes the color changes much more fluid, and it doesn’t seem to flash as much when the colors change, in comparison to SignalRGB.
Having an option to adjust the interpolation speed between those color changes would definitely improve the whole effect by preventing abrupt flashes and extreme color changes from occurring too quickly.
I guess something similar could be achieved by setting Screen Ambience to HD under Customise and increasing the Capture Framerate slide under Video in the SRGB settings. I feel I’ve got extremely smooth colour transitions with this.
+1 I created an account just for this. Definitely need some kind of buffer/interpolation to smooth the screen ambience mode. Philips ambilight it’s just so much better with smoother color and brightness changes, and no option in signalRGB seems to match that. We need some kind of smoothing…!
If you have SignalRGB Pro you can use the effect I uploaded to the SRGB discord server called Soft Ambiance. It makes pixels change colors slower and has a bunch of other nice features lacking in Screen Ambiance.
The reason my effect requires pro is that all effects using screen capture require Pro. Screen Ambiance being free is an exception to the rule.
