Ryzen 7 5700X in an ASUS ROG Strix X370-F Gaming motherboard. Here’s what happens:
If AI Suite III (version 3.00.51) has never been installed, SignalRGB’s CPU usage is very low, between 0% and 3%. If AI Suite III was installed, even if it was uninstalled, and if SignalRGB was uninstalled and reinstalled afterward, CPU usage spikes to 13% and higher. This behavior occurs on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, and nothing alters it. It happens on at least 2.4.36 and 2.4.37 Beta of SignalRGB.
I don’t know if this is an AMD problem, because so long as AI Suite III was never installed, the CPU usage is absolutely fine, even if the system has been on for hours. AI Suite III seems to alter something that causes a conflict with SignalRGB that cannot be fixed with anything beyond a full Windows reinstallation. Changing the render profile, changing from Ultralight to QT Web Engine, nothing works. The CPU is hammered with every effect, including solid color with breathing disabled. All of the RGB in the system works properly, but the SignalRGB Core process disagrees with whatever AI Suite III did so badly, that it acts like there’s a conflict even after AI Suite III is gone from the system.
