Armoury Crate’s background service can keep running and quietly push its own RGB commands, causing exactly the flickering and brightness shifts you’re seeing.

Try this:

  1. Download ASUS’s Armoury Crate uninstall tool (search it on ASUS support site, not regular Windows uninstall)
  2. Run it, reboot
  3. Reopen SignalRGB, test with plain white
