Lian Li Galahad II Trinity Intermittently Stops Working

Recently (and only recently) has my Galahad II Trinity (this is the non-LCD version with a 360mm radiator) had issues with it randomly (as best I can tell) turning off. I’d like to describe the whole situation, and link to videos showing how it acts, but I’m very limited here.

How can I get assistance with this??

Thanks in advance.

How is it wired? Is it connected to a hub or directly to the motherboard? If through a hub, can you try directly connecting it to the motherboard?

Also, do the lights turn off completely, or does it just revert to its default effect? Does unplugging and plugging it back in fix it?

It is connected directly to the motherboard and the lights turn off completely. It will randomly flicker/flash a couple of times (which is how I notice it’s happened, because I see the bright flashing against my wall) and then go completely dark, again. If I put the computer to sleep and wake it, again, the device will briefly go to it’s default (rainbow) setting, go dark for a couple second, go to the default rainbow, then go dark and flash a couple of times before remaining dark…

…for an extended period (aside from random flashing).

I cannot pulse or paint the LEDs when it’s like this and messing with the effect doesn’t change anything. I have to close Signal completely and then relaunch it to fix the issue. I don’t have access to it to unplug and plug it back in (especially while the machine is running).

Since there’s not currently support for the GA II Trinity, I have this set up as just the GA II AIO (same # of LEDs) and it worked fine for months. This issue started occurring a few months ago and I’ve only just had time to reach out about it. Inspector says there are no conflicts.

Again, this is the Galahad II Trinity, not what is stated at the top of the screenshot.

It’s likely an issue with using device attempting to be controlled like the wrong one. I would recommend removing it and adding it again as a custom LED strip instead. Does that change the behavior you see?

I’ll reiterate: This device was working fine for months until something (most likely some sort of update) caused this. I’ve owned this for 6 months and it was working properly for the first 3 or 4 of those.

I hesitate to turn it into a generic strip because of how the LEDs are oriented. This device is circular and multi-layered and I’d like the lights in my effect to display properly. I want to avoid colors constantly spinning around it because it’s set up to be a straight line in the layout.

We don’t doubt it was working before. That said, the Galahad II Trinity is a variant and can experience odd behaviors as such. Might be best to report the bug using the bug icon in the app (upper-right corner) or through this link so that the support team can follow up and work with the devs on the issue.
