Lian Li EVO RGB strip LEDS is freezing when i open signal sometimes

When i open my pc strip leds are working but when i open signal it freezes and i can’t control it with case buttons i need to restart my pc.

When this happens, is SRGB already running? Or is it freezing once SRGB initially starts up? Could be the strips are not initializing properly when SRGB starts up and tries to start communicating with them.

When that happens, does restarting SRGB do anything? Might be that it doesn’t need a power cycle but just the app needs to relaunch.

Yep, its freezes when srgb starts up. When it freeze, the control button on the case is freezes too.

Yeah that would be the controller failing to initialize. Does simply rebooting SRGB (which should also attempt to restart the controller) work, or does it have to be a full restart to fix it?

Could try connecting the strips to an RGB header on the mobo to see if it happens there, or try another RGB controller. Many case RGB controllers/hubs are not super great at handling real-time effect data and that may be why it freezes so frequently.

i dont have a hub i connect them directly in to motherboard and srgb restart doesn’t work i need to fully restart my pc

You mentioned case buttons so I presumed there was a case hub, my bad! What mobo is it?

You could report the bug using the bug icon in the app (upper-right corner) or through this link so that the support team can follow up after peaking into your logs.

i have MSI Pro B760-P DDR4 II

Are the strips connected directly to your motherboard’s JRGB headers? What else is connected? Any daisy-chained devices or a case hub?

My initial guess is the RGB controller is initializing poorly, which may mean you need a dedicated RGB controller. Check out our guide to RGB Controllers for more info.

They daisy-chained with other fans and have a SATA connection with PSU

Try removing some of the devices in the chain. Some controllers can struggle on initializing if too many LEDs are in the chain. Worth a shot. Either way, probably worth exploring an RGB controller too.

But I wasn’t experiencing this problem before. Maybe a software problem of SRGB what do you think?

Could be, but it’s still worth testing for the when the Devs get a look at things! You can report the bug using the bug icon in the app (upper-right corner) or through this link so that the support team can follow up. You’ll want to include as much details as possible so the team can get as much insight into the behavior.
