So my keyboard, steel series apex pro, never was configured for lightning. I plugged it in and it looked great. It had static colors but when you typed it would blink across the keyboard.I reset my pc for something else and now it went to breathing or something.I see it has conflicts and closes them but somewhere one of them is making my keyboard not work like it always has.
Im thinking signal shuts down something but the few I see it pops up saying closing, if I enable them, my pc lights dont work?
I would start with ensuring the keyboard is disabled in SignalRGB if you want to use another software to control it, or otherwise don’t want SignalRGB communicating with it. What were you using to control the keeb?
As for the lights in your PC, if you are running other software that controls RGB, it’s going to cause problems. You’ll need to ensure that software is closed, or is otherwise not attempting to communicate with any device controlled by SignalRGB.
I did some testing for an hour or so. Every time I started my pc I unchecked one start up app. Turns out, steel series app caused it…but why after months it just started is being me.
I havent tested it again with blocking the start up in signal yet, I see it has 4 in the conflicts list. I just took it off start up. I dont know if it’s something good or not that I’d even need for functionality of the kb.
Yea, it’s conflicting software. Sometimes SteelSeries GG might offer a feature that SignalRGB doesn’t for a device (since SRGB focus on RGB first and foremost), but if you didn’t notice anything lacking before you’ll probably be okay!
