Hello everyone,
I have a general question about the effect settings. Isn’t it possible to set a different effect for each detected RGB element?
When I arrange the components in the selected layout, I can only apply it to one effect at a time. Apparently, there’s no way to apply different effects to individual components?!
For example, I’d like a rainbow effect for the graka, a hex layout for the fans, and a neon effect for the RAMs.
Am I missing something, or is this simply not possible with this software?
Thanks for reaching out! SignalRGB plays a single real-time effect across all devices at once. Multiple different effects simultaneously isn’t possible due to how our effects renderer works. However, you can use the LED painting tool to set individual devices to static colors (won’t animate), or choose effects with multiple zones that do different things. You can also arrange your Canvas layout strategically so different devices get different parts of the same effect!
If assigning multiple independent effects per device is not feasible, would it theoretically be possible to support multiple effects within a single Canvas, each effect being limited to a specific region of the Canvas?
For example:
Thnak you and happy new year!
Something that’s being explored, but is not currently possible. Either way, as of the time of writing this comment you can’t use more than one effect on a single instance of SignalRGB.
