SignalRGB freezes completely on startup during plugin scan at “Patriot Viper RAM” with error: “I2C Bus Disabled: Another program isn’t letting go of the SMBus mutex”.
The issue is I don’t even have Patriot RAM (running non-RGB Kingston HyperX instead). The auto-detector keeps probing non-existent memory and locks the UI. How can I manually disable/skip the RAM plugin without opening settings?
The freeze isn’t about the RAM, that’s just first in line. Another program is holding a shared hardware lock SignalRGB needs, so it times out.
Since you’re on Kingston HyperX, try closing: Kingston FURY Control Center, HWiNFO64, Armoury Crate, MSI Center, iCUE, or NZXT CAM if running. Then reopen SignalRGB.
If you’re not sure which one it is, close them one at a time in Task Manager until it works.
The problem is that I don’t even have the programs listed.
If you send in a report using the bug icon in the app (upper-right corner) or through, the team can follow up and review your logs which get automatically included when you report an issue. Those logs can help determine what software might be interfering, and generally will give a clearer picture (hopefully).
