HyperX Alloy Origins Core keyboard - Overlapped I/O operation is in progress

Hi, I am trying to get this last device in my machine working. The keyboard shows up in SignalRGB under devices, but refuses to be controlled by it. When I open the console, I see this:

[Thu Sep 4 17:29:35 2025] hid.write.error - hid_write/WaitForSingleObject: (0x000003E5) Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.

(this message repeats forever).

I have tried different USB ports, different cables, I’ve tried installing the HyperX ngenuity app and wiping all saved settings, but nothing seems to help.

This same exact issue is happening to me. Let me know if you find a fix. Mine was fine for months, but I’m having trouble now.

Overlapped IO is usually that SignalRGB is sending stuff too fast for the USB controller, definitely a bug that can happen between updates. Could you please submit a bug to us? Click the bug icon in the upper right then click “Report a Bug”, happy to take a deeper look!

I will submit that shortly, thank you for your assistance.

any updates on this one? i have the same issue

I would recommend reporting the bug using the bug icon in the app (upper-right corner) or through this link, and the support team will follow up.

what firmware version do you have on your keyboard?

This still isn’t fixed?

If you’re having the issue with the latest firmware for your keeb and such, I’d report the bug. Happy to look into the behavior further, and the team will be able to look at the logs to help find the root cause.

Yes, I already sent a bug report and mail.

The firmware of the keyboard is v2.1.1.6

I tried different ports, different PC’s, uninstalled ngenuity… I pretty much did everything I could and it still shows the error in signalRGB.

Having this same issue. Any fix in the works or troubleshooting steps? Also going to submit a bug ticket.

Same issue here, latest firmware (2.1.1.6)

It works fine with their official app (HyperX NGENUITY) but I want to use SignalRGB

Always best to submit a bug report for these type of issues by clicking bug icon in the app (upper-right corner) or through this link so that the support team can follow up.

As a possible troubleshooting step though, you could try connecting to different USB ports. If the hub or controller the keeb is plugged into isn’t handling the data properly, that can cause issues.

Thanks, I submitted it, let’s hope they read it

They aim to get a response out within 3 business days!

I’m having this same issue everything is up to date any news on a fix?

My understanding is that a fix was rolled out about 2wks ago that should address this issue. Make sure your app is updated, or try enrolling in preview updates under Settings > Updates.

If everything is up to date, I’d report the bug using the bug icon in the app (upper-right corner) or through this link so that the support team can follow up and see why yours is still having struggles.
