How to completely disable the built-in fan control?

Hey SignalRGB community,

Ever since you forced fan control into the free version, I stopped using it. I’d much rather use my own software than this built-in garbage. Now, whenever I launch SignalRGB, the programs conflict and my 10 fans instantly blast at 100%.

Is there any way to completely disable/kill the fan control in SignalRGB? I want it 100% gone so I can just control my lighting in peace.

Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out! New installs ask if you’d like Fan Control enabled, but a re-install may not re-trigger that prompt if it was on before.

Go to Settings > Cooling and Settings > Monitoring to turn off SRGB’s control there. For conflicting apps, add exceptions under Settings > Conflicts so SRGB doesn’t close them.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, i try it :+1:

Complete opposite for me. My fans are spinning at very high RPM’s until SignalRGB actually starts up. Try to uninstall the software that’s controlling your fan speed. Just a thought if you’re not married to the current fan control software.

Usually this is an indicator your BIOS settings or whatever is handling your fan curves when SRGB isn’t in charge are set a bit high.

Might help to double check your BIOS settings for your fans as a start.
