After the latest update i am getting “Windows service not running” and a request to do a power cycle.
I have restarted it as admin to no affect, I have power cycled the pc to no affect, i have excluded it from antivirus/firewall to no affect and i have uninstalled and reinstalled the program to no affect.
This problem only came up after SignalRGB updated to the latest version.
Checked in with the dev team, and they’re stumped too for now. Can you submit a bug to us? Click the bug icon in the upper right then click “Report a Bug”, happy to take a deeper look!
Perhaps, but they’re more qualified to determine that than I am lol. I appreciate the bug report, we’ll take a look internally. Keep an eye out for updates and such, as the dev team tends to only reply to bug reports when more info is needed about the issue.
You can also try our Discord for more info or help, our devs are active in there too from time to time. Apologies I don’t have more info at this time, but hope this is helpful!
I am also having this same issue. I have done all the things that OP has stated trying to fix it as well. Nothing seems to work unfortunately. Weirdly enough on my travel PC the update is fine and I have no issues, but on my home PC this is persistent. I have also submitted a bug report.
Much appreciated! The dev team will investigate, but they tend not to respond unless they need some additional info. That said though, they’re officially aware of the reports!
It has been multiple months and this is still a persistent issue ass well as a large memory leak. Every couple hours I have to restart SignalRGB so it’s not using 2GB of my RAM, making my fans spin up, which means its increasing CPU temp. I like this program a lot, it’s a shame that its getting worse and worse as time goes on.
I’ve also had this problem for some time. Trying to start the signalrgbservice displayed error 193.
I solved it by using regedit and changing the path of the service "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SignalRgb.Service\ImagePath” putting the value in quotation marks because my user’s name had spaces and I also changed all the slashes for backslashes. After that I started the service and I had no more errors.
Also having this same issue. I had the software loaded for a while and it was working great. I uninstalled it to troubleshoot some other issues and now when I install the latest, I get the same message non stop. I tried the above suggestion of changing forward slashes to back slashes but as soon as I launch the app again, it requests permissions to make changes and changes it back to forward slashes.
