Drop CTRL QMK not working after connected to Signal

Hello! I have a Drop CTRL QMK that was flashed with Signal RGB’s firmware back in 2023, and whenever I connect it to Signal, I can use the keyboard for about a minute or two before the lights freeze, and the keyboard stops working. Looking in the device console, the “Overlapped I/O operation” error pretty much loops. How do I fix this? I haven’t been able to use Signal because of this.

My understanding is that error typically means that there’s too much data being sent for the USB controller of the device. I’d recommend creating a ticket through our contact page so we can investigate further and confirm.

Did that, just got told to ask about it on Discord in the QMK channels.

Ah - that would likely be due to the QMK stuff ultimately being a 3rd party thing managed by a member of the community. I was hopeful our team would know an answer, but sounds like we need the expert on it. He’s generally pretty responsive!

I just checked out that space and you’ll want the #qmk-chat channel, make a post there and Naitoshedo should get back to you with some ideas.
