DM12 PRO Fan ARGB Issue – Some LEDs Not Controllable in SignalRGB (But Works in RGB Fusion)

Hi everyone,

I’m having a strange ARGB behavior issue with my DM12 PRO fans when using SignalRGB, and I’d love to get your input.

:wrench: System Specs:

  • Case: DarkFlash DQX80
  • Fans: DM12 PRO (10 total)
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M AORUS Elite AX ICE
  • Software: SignalRGB (latest version)

:electric_plug: Fan Connections:

  • CPU fan + 1 rear fan + 3 top fans → D_LED2 header (5V addressable RGB)
  • 3 side fans + 3 bottom fans → D_LED1 header
  • PWM and power are connected across SYS_FAN1 and SYS_FAN3

The motherboard manual says both headers support 5V ARGB (up to 5A and 1000 addressable LEDs).

:warning: The Issue:

  • The center top fan and all three bottom fans have some ARGB pixels stuck, which do not respond to SignalRGB effects.
  • These specific fans seem to have two separately addressable LEDs at each corner, meaning they have more granular LED mapping.
  • Meanwhile, the other fans work normally, and the two corner LEDs are always controlled together as a pair.

This results in inconsistent lighting between fans that are all the same model and connected to the same ARGB header.

:test_tube: What I Tried:

To fix the mismatch for the working fans, I deleted the default 60-pixel strip that SignalRGB assigned to the header.
Then, I manually added 9 individual pixel blocks (1 LED each) to better match their actual behavior.

This worked perfectly for the fans that behave normally.

However, the problematic fans still have unresponsive pixels.
It seems like they need more pixel blocks than just 9 because their LEDs are divided into smaller segments.
Since only 9 pixels are defined, some LEDs are simply left unaddressed.

:red_question_mark: My Question:

Is it possible for fans of the same model, connected to the same ARGB header, to be interpreted with different pixel mappings in SignalRGB?

Could this be a firmware difference, manufacturing variation, or perhaps a SignalRGB detection issue?

Any advice, shared experience, or workaround would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

P.S

Unresponsive LED pixels — SignalRGB was disabled for the device, yet some LEDs remain on and uncontrollable.

Two LED pixels per corner are controlled individually — this is only seen on the fans with unresponsive LEDs.

Two LED pixels are always controlled as a pair — no unresponsive LEDs on this fan.
