Hi everybody. I’m a complete newbie here, so please bear with me.
In my current Windows 11 rig, I currently have no RGB app installed at all. However, these two RGB devices have some nice default RGB effects, which function automatically and without any RGB app:
- 2 sticks of Corsair Dominator DDR5
- The pump of my AeroCool Mirage L240 AIO
Here’s a short video: https://youtu.be/_Q3ntzZFkko
I happen to like these simple but nice RGB effects, so I’d like to preserve them. Hence my questions:
- If I install SignalRGB, will it be able to detect and preserve these default effects? I have read that RGB management apps (including SignalRGB) tend to mess with that, and sometimes people can’t bring their default effects back, even after uninstall.
- Assuming SIgnalRGB does indeed detect and preserve these default effects, is it possible to save them as a given preset, so that I can come back to them anytime?
- Still with these default effects, would SignalRGB allow me to just change their luminosity easily? Ideally here’s what I’d like to do:
- Create a Preset 1 = these default effects, with nothing changed
- Create a Preset 2 = these default effects, with 50% luminosity
- Easily switch a given preset on or off (no RGB at all), ideally via a hotkey
- If someday I uninstall SignalRGB, will my rig automatically come back to these default effects in the absence of any RGB app, just like now, or will they be lost forever?
I suppose SignalRGB can do all that, but I’d like to be 100% sure before installing it. Thank you.
