I’ve been requesting for a year that the bloody W90 Pro gaming mouse be added, but I haven’t received a response. It has already been added to Open RGB, and there is evidence of this.
OpenRGB works in a fundamentally different way and unfortunately is not evidence that it would be compatible with SignalRGB, especially if it can’t accept real-time effect data. You can submit a device request here.
Our small team prioritizes devices based on demand, market share, and compatibility with real-time effects and does not have a timeline to provide for any specific device support.
I understand everything, of course. I submitted an application every year hoping that you would add it. They added another mouse, and it was also bloody old and no one needed it. I have direct support.
Some devices are easier to add for one reason or another. Apologies I don’t have more insight to provide on a timeline, we generally recommend sticking to devices that are officially support. Users will have a much better experience purchasing supported hardware than waiting on specific device support to be added (especially considering variant devices and such).
So, the RGB color capture and logs that I have won’t affect the addition in any way?
Not certain as I’m not on the development team. If the info is necessary however, the team will reach out to users who submit device requests but many times we need the specific device on-hand to be able to properly implement support.
