Audio settings and SignalRGB updates

Every time I finally get SignalRGB running exactly how I want it, either an update comes along that breaks the previous setup, or the audio device settings get messed up.
There is always something that needs doing to keep everything running.

Updates shouldn’t wipe settings, those are stored separately and untouched by updates. More likely your audio device isn’t available right when SignalRGB starts (maybe a driver refreshed nearby), so it falls back to default even though your saved setting is still there.

Check Settings > Audio and reselect your device if needed, should stick after that.

If other things reset too (effects, layout), let us know, that’d be different.

Every time I take a long break or restart the system, it takes over and resets the audio input to “Automatic.” I honestly wonder what the point of a selection menu is, if you don’t actually have a choice, other than having to manually set it every single time.

Windows sometimes presents devices slightly differently on startup, so the match fails silently and falls back to Automatic, your saved setting is still there, it’s just failing to reconnect.

No reliable workaround yet. Leaving SignalRGB running instead of closing between sessions avoids the reconnect issue for now.

Could you send this as a bug report through the bug icon top right of the app so we can check logs and escalate if needed?
