“Custom Strip” device doesn’t work very well for creating custom/unsupported fans because it places all LEDs in a row.
It would be nice to have a “Custom Fan” config that creates a square in the canvas with LEDs placed in a circle (like a real fan).
I misunderstood this at first. As fans are just strips on the inside still. Though I believe you mean instead of how the “custom strip” reads the colors on the canvas in a straight line, there should be one where that straight line traces the perimeter of a square so it actually mirrors the shape of the leds in the fan, RIght?
I’d vote that up. That’d give a lot more accurate control and easier visualization of how effects will translate.
