Hi, I have an ID-COOLING Frozn A410 CPU fan. It is A-RGB, presumably Gen1, and connected to A-RGB pin on my Gigabyte AORUS ELITE AX V2. It is not in the registered devices, so I’ve just created a 23 custom led-strip for it. Unfortunately, every effect is vissibly NOT smooth / laggy. Basically like it would have very low FPS. The cooler itself shouldn’t be a problem, I’ve tried it with OpenRGB and every effect was perfectly smooth.
I would greatly appreciated any help on how to solve this, as currently its basically unusable for me.
Have you tried going into your Graphics Settings for each Application? You probably need to assign it to run in High Performance mode. And also be sure to turn off USB Power Mgmt, which w
Allows Win 10 & Win 11 to manage the USB Devices and put them into Power Saver mode.
For the Display Settings:
Hit [Windows Key]_X together
Select System
ZSelect Graphics Settings
Scroll down to Advanced Graphics
Add SignalRGB to the Applications List and Select High Performance Mode
You may also want to ensure that you Do Not have Gaming Mode Turned on by any Apps (NVIDIA will do this). This places all background apps into Low Priority and thus updates them every s3cond or so, instead of 15 x/sec.
Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried both but none helped.
Looks like SignalRGB has problem only with my MOBO. My RAMs are working well and in SignalRGB they have around 23 fps, and also visually they are working fine, so the app itself is not lagging. But, when I check my MOBO info in the app, I see it only runs at 8 fps. I’ve also got new case fans recently and they behave the same as CPU Fan. Both the case and cpu fans are connected via ARGB connectors to my MOBO.
My MOBO is Gagabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX V2.
Whoa - I also have the Aorus B650 Elite AX, v1.1 though…
Be sure to meticulously go through your USB Power Tab Settings on each USB Controller within the System - Device Manager Page and turn off “Allow USB Device to be managed by System/OS.”. I had to click on every dang USB Entry n turn tPower Mgmt Off on every one, individually.
Good luck!
Here’s a Pic of my Rig using Aorus Elite AX v1.1, AMD 7800X3D, NVIDIA RTX 4070 Super, SignalRGB, Lian Li SLINF fans & L-Connect-3, plus a Razor Chroma ARGB Controller for the Rear 3 PSU Cooler n Exhaust fans.
It took me a while to find a way to create a profile in SIGNALRGB that mimics the nice Running Lights within Lian Li L-Connect-3. But I’m really happy with the outcome. And it only suvks up about 1-2% CPU, as I have the app tied to my on-board AMD GPU, so it doesn’t bog down my RTX 4070 Super…
