Hoping somebody can help with this - I am trying to setup my Gamemax Infinity 120mm ARGB fans - Yes I know these aren’t supported, but either way I should be able to set them up using ‘custom-strip’ etc… However the problem I’m having is that when I choose 'custom strip / 24 LED’s (which is what the fans have - 8 inner ring and 16 outer), only the first 16 LED’s are painting. What is happening is the first 8 are painting both an LED from the inner ring, and an LED from the outer ring together. Then once these 8 are painted, the final 8 are painting the remaining outer ring LED’s as single LED’s (hence 16 in total). This is of course no good for setting up layouts or correct LED / lighting order for these fans.
- Does anybody have any suggestions for how to fix this?? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
Try making more, smaller strips of lights. I have three lian li fans with lcd screen that aren’t supported, so each fan is actually 2 strips of 13 leds, where if I had just put a 26, it would look weird.
Hi, did you ever find a fix for this?
I am having the exact same issue. I am using the Teucer JM4 / Prism 4RS infinity fans off Temu with a Nollie16.
Each fan is connected individually to the Nollie and everything works great except when i paint the leds.
LEDs 1-6 (paint both inner ring and outer ring)
LED 7-16 (paint only the outer ring barring one or two that do nothing)
Looking at the LED layout for most of the fans, they typically have double LEDs on each point of the inner ring whereas my fans look to only have one LED. I am wondering if this is the issue
I tried creating a custom strip but the behaviour is similar. I’m also wondering if the XY coordinates might have any impact
Hi ye - basically it turns out that some fans that are made by some manufacturers as ‘ARGB’ are hardwired to have some of their led’s linked together (e.g. in pairs). This means there is no way to separate them via software. Short story is you need specific fans (e.g. most Corsair or Lian Li etc.) in order to have every LED independently addressable. Hope this helps! (Kinda!).
