# Signal Rgb Update fail.

No matter how i do, the problem remains.

We’ve seen that fix a lot of the root causes of this behavior.

Try a clean reinstall of SignalRGB to remove any conflicting files or settings.

After reinstalling, try launching the app again and let us know if the issue persists.

Another thing worth trying is to download and install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable x64 from **[Microsoft’s website](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#latest-supported-redistributable-version)**.

A number of users who had the same issue got it fixed by doing these two steps.

Can you provide some more details to what you’ve tried so far? You can also send a ticket to [support@signalrgb.com](mailto:support@signalrgb.com) so we can gather additional details and do our best to resolve this as quickly as possible.

From what we’ve seen so far, if a user’s PC doesn’t have ALL the necessary underlying services installed and up to date, along with the necessary permissions, you can experience issues with launching or installation. For example, if you’re on an older Windows version that can definitely muck things up.
