Need help with Yeelight CubeLite in SignalRGB! The official addon finds my device via UDP on 2.4GHz with LAN control on, but clicking “Link” fails with: `Cannot read property 'id' of undefined`.

Inside Yeelight.js, `cachedController` returns undefined. Patching the script works, but SignalRGB auto-overwrites it on launch, and Read-Only freezes the app at startup.

Has anyone found a workaround to link CubeLite or stop SignalRGB from overwriting local addon edits without hanging? Any tip is appreciated!

This appears to be an issue with the Yeelight add-on rather than your network settings.

Please avoid manually editing `Yeelight.js` or setting it to read-only, as this can cause SignalRGB to hang during startup.

Could you submit a bug report through SignalRGB using the bug report icon? Please include the error message and mention that it occurs when clicking Link on your Yeelight CubeLite.

Hello Benny,

I tested the issue on the latest SignalRGB Beta version, but the behavior and crash persist without any change.

Additionally, I have two separate CubeLite units, and neither of them connects—both trigger the exact same error in the logs.

Best regards,

To use your version of the plugin, you’ll need to rename it and place it in the custom plugins folder.

> **[SignalRGB File Locations](https://docs.signalrgb.com/guides/installation-setup/file-locations/)**

It’s being overwritten likely because it’s in the same location and/or has the same name as the one being pushed by the app servers.

If you send us your fix, we can help escalate that! Send a bug report or email us 🙂
